Doctor updates.

Overall, the kids have been healthy and life has been easier! Over the weekend Sage threw up a few times and Ainsley had a cold. Ains stayed home Wed. b/c she had a fever Tues. evening but it was no big deal. She has been fine since. Swine flu has entered Montgomery county, Rockville, no less. Since she goes to school in Rockville I'm praying more :)

Ainsley and Jude had doctor appointments yesterday for their 6 year and 6 month check ups! Jude's development is right on track. He's 15 pounds 4 ounces and 251/4 inches long. Ainsley is 48 pounds and 48 inches! The doctor thinks she'll be 5 feet 8 inches! Ainsley's hearing and vision were screened. Her vision is already 20/30 in both eyes so the doctor warned us she'll need glasses in the future (most likely). We'll just have to wait and see. I'm sometimes leary of the screenings done in the peds. office. They seem kinda sketchy to me.

Sage saw Dr. Rosenberg (pulmonologist) today. Per his recommendation we are ditching a lot of things-asthma meds AND the asthma diagnosis altogether! We'll continue to treat her sinuses with Nasonex daily and Singulair, but that's it! If she starts to cough then I'm supposed to call him and get her on antibiotics asap. He feels strongly that this is all sinus related. There is a disease that he might have her checked for as she gets older b/c testing is not easy at her age and testing can only be done at NIH or Chapel Hill. The disease is called Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia. Even if she has PCD, treatment would be the same for her so there is no point in testing right now and he did not see the point of putting her through testing.
