E-I-E-I-O

This picture captures my son very well. anything with wheels makes him very, very happy.

dang cute

This farm trip was fun, exhausting, and tough....all at the same time. A friend wanted to meet up at a farm that is in Poolesville...kind of a far treck. but the kids would love it. At first it was so much fun. the girls ran around to see the animals and Jude searched out anything that had wheels. then we had lunch and it got hard since no one wanted to eat but instead the kids wanted to continue their barnyard adventure. but i knew they'd be "starving" as soon as we got in the van...so i continued to try to force jude to sit still on a bench.not a pretty picture. since ainsley is 7, she deserves some freedom to roam around. but then the younger kids want to follow and it's not always safe. she wasn't happy and everyone was starting to fall apart. it's just a reminder that this summer has it's obstacles and we won't be going many places when it's just the 4 of us. it's just too hard and not fun in the end. we'll continue w/ playdates, but not many adventures unless it's the weekend and lance can help.
