My kids ADORE their Uncle Mike. He is really great at playing with them and letting them hang all over him. Uncle Mike got a new phone just before he flew up here so Ainsley was enjoying Angry Birds on his phone.
Lance cooked a great bird. Mr. Creative decided the night before to soak the bird in some brine. The result was a delicious bird that was very juicy. Lance did 99% of the cooking and seemed to enjoy it. Besides turkey we had mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, a green salad, mac-n-cheese, and cranberry sauce. Lance also made pecan pie for dessert and mom brought many baked goods to share as well.
Lance worked on Dad's website and added a picture of him to it.
By far, this was my favorite holiday yet with the kids. It was just easy and we were able to relax. They are getting older and that greatly helps. We kept things super low-key and the furthest we traveled was to the zoo. We had beautiful weather so we were able to be outside and it made for a fantastic day at the zoo. Sage begged and begged to play the drawing version of Telephone. Aunt Rhodie taught us this fun game. Oh my. We laughed so hard...some of the time we just laughed at Grammy's pictures :) I am certain my girls will remember Grammy's chicken nugget picture forever.
