Niagara 2012

Lance and I went to Niagara Falls this past week.  We are so thankful to his parents for watching our kids so we could take a much needed break from reality.

Picture taking at Niagara is tricky. You're either super far away or you're so close that your camera is getting misted on. I read a few reviews on which camera to take and decided to take the point and shoot b/c it is little and can fit in my pocket preventing it from getting wet.  We were disappointed to find something caught under the lens resulting in a red dot in 98% of the pictures.
We had a wonderful time and enjoyed the falls from both the US and Canada.  It's true. The view is much better from Canada.
View from Canada.
At the very top of the falls.
From Goat Island.

From the bottom of the US Falls.

We were so fortunate that on the last day we were in NY, the Maid of the Mist Tour opened. We were on the first US boat out.  It was a short trip of just 30 minutes but amazing to be so close to the falls.
